Placemynt Inc. ("Placemynt", "we", "us", or "our") operates the placemynt.com website and the placemynt ATS application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: Name, work email address, password (hashed), and agency name when you register.
• Billing information: Payment details processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers.
• Recruiting data: Candidate profiles, job postings, pipeline stages, notes, and documents you upload or create within the Service.
• Communications: Messages or support requests you send to us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns.
• Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Log data: Server logs including request timestamps, error events, and performance metrics.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Service delivery: To create and manage your account, process payments, and provide the ATS features you have subscribed to.
• Product improvement: To analyse usage patterns, identify bugs, and develop new features.
• Communications: To send transactional emails (e.g. password resets, billing receipts) and, where you have opted in, product updates and announcements.
• Security: To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, and other illegal activities.
• Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from authorities.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes (e.g. billing records required for tax compliance).

Candidate data you have uploaded is retained as part of your account. You may delete candidate records at any time from within the application.

5. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following categories of third parties as necessary to operate the Service:

• Stripe — Payment processing and billing management. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data.
• Sentry — Error tracking and performance monitoring. Sentry may receive anonymised stack traces and request metadata.
• Vercel — Hosting and infrastructure. Vercel processes request data to serve the application.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
